This package processes the responses from Forms A, E and SA92 of the 16PFª as previously published by the HSRC in South Africa.
It can be used with more modern forms of the 16PF by entering sten scores.
This system is designed to process data from the 16 Personality Factors Questionnaire®, first developed by Raymond Cattell in Chicago in the USA. This is a temperament measurement instrument which seeks to assess sixteen primary aspects. The questionnaire is held under copyright by the Institute for Personality and Ability Testing (IPAT) and is licensed to many countries around the world.
In South Africa, three forms of the test were developed by the Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC) in Pretoria who were the RSA license holders. The A form of the test was the first and is available in both English and Afrikaans. It is suitable for administration to persons with one of these languages as home language and an educational level of at least Std 8. During the late 1980's the form E was developed and is suitable for administration to people who are less language proficient and, most recently the SA-form 92 was produced which is aimed at the larger part of the SA general population.
The 16PF is classified by the Test Commission of South Africa as a C-Class test which implies that it may only be interpreted by a registered psychologist. It was this feature that precludes the 16PF from wide application in industry as many firms which needed to assess personnel simply did not have access to the services of a psychologist.
Licensing Agreement
The system is supplied to clients under license and apart from an initial payment for the software, an annual licensing fee is charged which guarantees clients updates of the system as and when these are produced and a degree of telephonic and fax support on difficult interpretations as mentioned above
